“President Bush “hablo mucho,” but said little, according to a Mexican-American family who watched his speech on immigration from their Pilsen home Monday night.

“What’s the point of deporting some people, and letting others in to work with temporary papers?” Ana Tapia, 52, a native of Chiapas, Mexico, said in Spanish. “How are you going to send back people who have been here 20 years, with children, property; who pay taxes?””
