“Area groups and leaders in the local Latino community are not ready to back President George W. Bush’s immigration plan.

WISC-TV sat down with Latino leader and former school board member Juan Jose Lopez who watched the president’s speech.

Lopez said the president needs to address the root of the immigration problem by stopping American businesses that go to Mexico to exploit Mexican workers.

Lopez said that exploitation encourages Mexican citizens to come to the U.S.”
