Immigrants’ kids, wives stage protest over their arrests in Ohio

“A group of about 30 wives, children and friends of illegal Hispanic immigrants gathered Monday in front of the Butler County Courthouse to protest the incarcerations.

“We are out here because we want to help our husbands. If we get our husbands (taken) how are we going to support our children?” rally organizer Joetta Smith of Hamilton asked. “It’s going to hurt our economy. Our children are the future of America. They are the ones that are feeling this pain. We need to think about the children now.”
