“Immigrant advocates found encouragement in the president’s speech on changes to immigration laws, while opponents of illegal immigration doubted the proposed measures would stop people from coming here illegally.

Theresa Harmon, co-founder of Tennesseans for Responsible Immigration Policies, said the proposed policies aren’t likely to slow the stream of illegal immigrants to the United States.”
