Tagged: day laborers, San Bernardino“Illegal immigrants and their supporters vowed to defeat a proposed measure that would prohibit the city’s landlords from renting to the undocumented and force day laborers to prove legal residency to work.
The measure, which qualified for a special election earlier this month, goes before the City Council on Monday. The council can approve it without any changes – making it law – but it is more likely council members will allow voters to decide the issue at a special election.”
