Mexican immigrants risk their lives crossing the border to the U.S.

“On the verge of a treacherous journey across the desert, a dozen Mexican migrants who had congregated in this parched border town chattered and laughed with all the excitement of a tour group headed for Disney World.

They had paid $250 to ride a bus for three days from their village in southern Mexico to get this far, about 65 miles south of the Arizona border. When asked where they were going, the band of friends from Chiapas raised their arms and cried together, “Florida!”"
