“But at a breast cancer symposium in Torrance, California, this week, scientists released a study that says breast cancer attacks Hispanic women in the U.S. at an earlier age than white women.
About 212,920 women in this country will be found to have breast cancer this year. About 40,970 women will die from the disease this year.
Soraya was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 and dropped out of the music scene to fight the disease. Embracing life, she released her album, “Soraya,” in 2003 and won a Latin Grammy as best singer-songwriter the following year.”
