“Since about 1980, KALA 88.5 FM and 105.5 FM has been offering Spanish-language programing, news, community announcements and consumer news to its listeners.

The station, which spans a 20-mile radius of the Quad-Cities, is “the only local source, the only local programming available in Spanish,” said David Baker, St. Ambrose’s director of audio productions.”
