“Ever since last Monday, la raza has wondered if the walkouts, the boycotts and the rallies made a difference.

Did Washington notice?
There were sporadic reports from different parts of the country of how people wanting to eat at their favorite Mexican/Cuban/Spanish/etc. restaurant were made aware of the boycott when they found the doors locked at the lunchtime hour.

Other reports surfaced that some grocery stores, butcher shops, landscape companies, car washes and other types of businesses felt the impact when they had to shut their doors for a few hours while their employees took half a day off.”
