Hispanic firm buys Gainesville bank in Georgia
“Roswell-based Nuestra Tarjeta de Servicios, which provides financial services to metro Atlanta’s Hispanic community, Tuesday said it will acquire NBOG Bancorporation, parent of National Bank of Gainesville, for about $6.5 million in cash.
The merger is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter. NTS will continue to operate the National Bank of Gainesville as a community bank. But the latter also will provide backroom functions and operational support to NTS, which operates 12 El Banco de Nuestra Comunidad financial services offices in metro Atlanta with nearly 20,000 customers.”
