Situation improving for Hispanic women in Hollywood

“Three Hispanic actresses and an emerging female filmmaker from Peru say Hollywood has made strides in moving away from stereotyping “the Latin woman,” though the objective remains not completely fulfilled.

The situation for Latina film actresses is improved over a decade ago, the industry professionals said during a Thursday evening panel discussion titled “Adelante Mujeres: Latinas at the Helm,” which was organized by the Tribeca Film Festival that concludes here Saturday.”
