Growing legion of home builders pushes for immigration reform

“Billingsley and the National Association of Home Builders are pushing for a Guest Worker program that makes it easier to deal with those who would like to come to the United States to work.

They also support enabling the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants currently in the United States to pay restitution and become legal residents.

“There’s no easy fix to immigration,” he said. “I think the industry would like to see something that is accountable and responsible. But to literally put a wall up around our borders is impossible.”"
