“The Minnesota Twins, in conjunction with the team’s Spanish language radio broadcast partner 107.5 FM La Mera Buena, today announced plans to broadcast eight (8) 2006 regular season home games in Spanish — twice the number of Spanish language games aired one year ago. The Twins and 107.5 FM La Mera Buena will make the announcement during a 4 p.m. press conference today on the Metrodome Plaza.
The press conference will feature the Twins new Spanish language play-by-play broadcaster Alfonso Fernandez. Twins legend Tony Oliva will join Fernandez in the booth, providing analysis for all 2006 broadcasts. 107.5 FM La Mera Buena will broadcast the following Sunday games (all game times are 1:10 p.m.):”
