“The 9-year teaching career has also recently brought recognition. Morales is a finalist in the 2006 Hispanic Teacher of the Year Award (HTOY). The Hispanic Human Resources Council, Inc. and the School District of Palm Beach County give the award. It recognizes the efforts that classroom teachers of Hispanic descent make to benefit students. Five Palm Beach County finalists were chosen and the winner will be decided May 18.

Morales said he was surprised by this recognition. The educator said he enjoys watching students transform.”
