“McClellan let slip that (this will shock you) that President Bush does not speak Spanish all that well — que sorpresa!
McClellan made the confession when confronted with the report that Bush had sung the Star-Spangled Banner in Spanish during his 2000 campaign.
Basically, the President likes to give the “illusion” of having mastered español by dropping in a few words in Spanish in his speeches so he can act like he’s proficient but it’s all show.”
