“Los Angeles radio station W 690 AM on Monday will launch its first advertising campaign in Southern California. Crafted by Long Beach, Calif.-based advertising agency Grupo Gallegos, the campaign involves out-of-home ads that will be “blanketing the market,” says Caro D’Antuono, account supervisor.

The campaign promotes W 690 AM as an outlet where Latinos can be heard. With more than 400 out-of-home locations in Los Angeles, the effort uses controversial headlines that Hispanics are familiar with, such as the illegal immigration issue. ” “Los inmigrantes le están robando los trabajos a los americanos’. Ya escuchaste lo suficiente. Ahora que se escuche tu voz.” (Immigrants are stealing jobs from Americans. You’ve heard enough. Now let them hear your voice.)”
