“Before adopting the plan, the county will seek comment in the coming weeks from home builders, Hispanic groups, federal immigration officials and the county sheriff’s and prosecutor’s offices.

“The employment of illegal workers is not only against the law, it is anti-competitive and destructive to honest businesses that play by the rules,” said Butler County Commissioner Mike Fox, who made the proposal in February.”
