“A Senate bill aimed at cracking down on undocumented immigration in Missouri has hit a wall in the House.

The bill, sponsored by Sen. Bill Alter, a High Ridge Republican, easily passed the Senate and was assigned to the House Special Committee on Immigration Reform, which heard testimony on the measure Tuesday.

The committee, however, decided not to vote on the bill, SB 1250. In fact, says the panel’s chairman, the bill probably won’t make it out of committee this year.”
