““Forever My Lady”, written by first-time novelist, Jeff Rivera, won both Best New Author and Best Urban Fiction awards by the Mahogany Media Review panel. It the first time in the prestigious panel’s history that an urban fiction award and best new novel award was awarded to an urban Latino novel.
“ “Forever My Lady” is a remarkable love story with such well-developed characters.” says Dawn Ruby, president and founder of Mahogany Book Club, a national book club based in Albany, New York. The award has also honored such esteemed best-selling authors as Walter Mosley, Eric Jerome Dickey and Terry McMillan.
“I was shocked that it won both awards.” Rivera says, “I had no idea I had even been nominated. I’m completely blown away and my family is beaming with pride.””
