With that simple phrase, protesters ushered in the next phase of the drive to gain amnesty for an estimated 12 million immigrants thought to be in this country illegally.
Even as organizers assess the impact of Monday’s events, they are forming political action committees and launching voter registration drives, seeking to increase the historically low voter turnout among Latinos.”
