Longs gives $25,000 to Hispanic scholarship group in Texas

“Prominent local philanthropists Joe and Teresa Long have given a $25,000 challenge grant to the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium.

The Longs announced their grant at the consortium’s Leadership Luncheon May 2. For every two dollars the nonprofit consortium raises, the Longs will match $1, meaning the gift could spur another $50,000 in donations. The consortium has one year to raise the funds.”
