Thousands expected to march today in Asheville’s immigration rally. North Carolina

“An organizer of the We Are One America rally scheduled to begin today at 4 p.m. in downtown Asheville anticipates 5,000 marchers will participate in the event, just one of hundreds of similar actions taking place in the United States today.

Asheville resident Edna Campos said this morning that some Hispanic businesses and restaurants will close early today and that some children may miss school. But Campos said organizers asked area residents to make individual decisions about whether to do so.”
