“A nationwide protest for immigration rights is having an impact locally Monday.
Latino businesses are booming along West Washington Street, just like the Latino population in central Indiana. But Monday, you likely won’t find a worker or customer in sight.
“We’re trying to make a difference so people appreciate how hard we work,” said Maria Perez, a high school junior.”
