“Jennifer Lopez is being sued by a TV writer who claims she and UPN lifted his idea for a series based on his move from Brooklyn to Miami and set against the world of modeling and nightclubs, reports People magazine.

Jack Bunick’s lawsuit, filed April 11 in Manhattan, also names CBS TV, Viacom Networks Inc. and Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions company. The suit claims that the series South Beach, executive-produced by Lopez, copies a script he wrote in 1999 for a pilot episode of a show that would have been called South Beach Miami.”
