Official says Mexican citizens should not participate in boycott

“The Mexican government would prefer its citizens not participate in a planned boycott Monday in the United States to call attention to the plight of undocumented immigrants, an official said Monday.

The 46 consulates in the United States, including one in San Antonio, will remain open for business on the day of the boycott, which calls for people, presumed to be primarily Latinos, to not shop or show up for work.”
