“Fresno police officers are preparing for thousands of people to take to the streets, as the conflict over immigration reform is expected to hit Fresno hard next week.
Police say they are bracing for 20,000 people to take to the streets and rally at city hall.

Organizers are calling it a day without immigrants. Some state legislators have endorsed the boycott, while President Bush in California on Monday called for compassion, but tough rules for immigrants.”
