“Maritza Pichon, Executive Director of the Latin American Association (LAA), will receive the 2006 “Excellence in Leadership Award” from the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) for her ‘exceptional leadership in empowering the Latino community.’ The awards gala will take place on Wednesday, April 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the Westin Peachtree Plaza.”
