Tagged: family, Mexico“Monica Felix moved from Zacatecas, Mexico, to Bryan two years ago with her family. The 14-year-old is enrolled in the English as a Second Language program at Jane Long Middle School and participates in a local program that she credits with helping her grow as a person and as an American.
“I learned how to express myself, how to work hard and how to take care of my body. I learned that, if I may, I can study and do well. We know we are important and we can do whatever we want in life.”"
