“However, there’s a special crowd right here in Denver who will undoubtedly be cheering for the 2006 Miss Colorado candidate, Jackie Madera.
Madera, 26, is proud to finally be called “Miss Colorado” after placing 2nd runner up in the 2005 pageant. She says she wanted to prove to her siblings that you should never give up on your dreams. Her perseverance certainly paid off as she was awarded “Best Interview,” “Most Photogenic” and “Miss Congeniality” by her fellow contestants this year. Madera is also proud of her Latino heritage. English is her second language and she is bilingual.”
