“Business leaders on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, attending a meeting in Nogales, Sonora learned that they face similar labor problems and that are all concerned with immigration issues.
The historic meeting between Arizona and Sonora chambers of commerce, organized by the Southern Arizona Chamber of Commerce Alliance (SACCA), dealt with illegal immigration and other issues vital to the business communities on both sides of the border. American and Mexican business leaders had similar approaches to issues involving immigration and the border. “It was encouraging to see that the Sonora, Mexico, business community is as concerned with the issue as we are,” said Jack Camper, president of the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.”
