Knowledge is Power!

“Almost three years ago, Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue appointed the Latino Commission for a New Georgia. The commission’s broad mandate was, according to information from the governor’s official state Web site, “to work with community organizations, local governments and private businesses on behalf of the governor.”

The commission also was given what the Web site called a “consulting function” to provide “valuable insight to policy making in areas such as healthcare, economic opportunity and education.”

Except, apparently, when “healthcare, economic opportunity and education” are being sought by Latinos who happen to be in the state of Georgia illegally.”
