“One has to wonder if the marches on behalf of undocumented immigrants is spearheading a nationwide backlash against them.
Whereas before there was ignorant tolerance of their presence by those outside the Latino community, just in the last few days there have been instances where undocumented immigrants are being portrayed as the criminals critics say they are.
In Texas today, a former Irving (Dallas suburb) police officer was found not guilty of assaulting an undocumented immigrant during a traffic stop.”
