“The powerful family of Carlos Slim HelÚ, Mexico’s richest man, has bought a $288 million, or approximately 2.8 percent, stake in Univision Communications Inc., reported the Mexican press.
According to a report by Mexico City-based El Universal Online, Slim’s son, Carlos Slim Domit, completed the stopck purchase through Inmobiliaria Carso SA, a holdling company based in Mexico.
Citing a Televisa SEC filing, the article states that Slim Domit purchased 8.5 million U.S.-traded shares at an average $33.83 a share from March 9 through March 20.”
