“Just when we thought we had heard all the negative news there was to hear about our Latino students in high school comes a new report that puts in writing what we’ve always known but just didn’t have the facts to back it up:
Fifty-three percent of Latino high school students earn a diploma. Of the 53 percent, Latinas comprise 58 percent of that total while Latinos trail in at 49 percent.
In other words, more Latinas are graduating from high school than the boys.”
