“A national organization that provides health and wellness services is launching its first Spanish language program at Kendall Regional Medical Center.

The pilot program, ”Los saludables,” meaning ”the healthy ones,” will offer a wide range of national discounts, informational newsletters and lectures, free flu shots and health screenings for a $15 annual fee.

”The hospital really knows their audience and patient population,” said MaryAnn Hodge, executive director of H2U, the organization behind the move. “The Hispanic community will be empowered by having this information offered in Spanish.””
