“WITH Salsa Celtica’s fourth album El Camino having recently topped the iTunes World Music chart during a 25-date UK tour that saw them headlining London’s La Linea Latin music festival, this homecoming gig was one rockin’ world-music Ceilidh.

It’s about ten years since the band first emerged from the melting pot of the Edinburgh roots scene and, while some purists originally sniffed at the perceived gimmick of uniting Latin and Celtic music, Salsa Celtica have long since had the last laugh, having evolved a genuinely original, organic and musically satisfying big-band sound - here featuring up to 14 musicians - earning a hefty fanbase and widespread critical acclaim.”
