“Amid recent protests, student walkouts and economic boycotts regarding the controversial subject of immigration, Sparks Today recently chatted with prominent Hispanic leader and Sparks resident, Estela LeVario-Gutierrez, who recently returned from a meeting with Mexican President Vicente Fox. LeVario-Gutierrez was named a Counselor of the Institute of the Mexicans in the Exterior in September. At a March conference in Los Pinos, Mexico (similar to the White House) she and 126 other delegates recently met with Fox to discuss a number of issues involving Mexicans living in the United States.
