Churches challenge Morristown mayor on aliens in New Jersey
Tagged: day laborers, Morristown“Hispanic day laborers from three churches in town and their leaders held a candlelight rally on the Green on Monday night, calling for an end to what they see as persecution by those, particularly mayor Donald Cresitello, who are cracking down on undocumented immigrants.
An equally determined mayor strongly stood his ground when contacted after the rally.
Cresitello promised continued “vigilant enforcement” and for the first time said this would include a raid by federal officials.”
