“Gustavo Jimenez is a 16-year-old Texas high school sophomore and the son of Mexican immigrants who were granted amnesty in the 80s.

The story goes that while cruising the popular MySpace.com site, he became inspired to rally his peers to march for immigration reform when he saw what a girl from California had posted about the Los Angeles march.

So working with the help of a friend, Gustavo stayed up till 2 a.m. sending out text and MySpace messages organizing the biggest student walkout in Dallas history. “
