Knowledge is Power!
“The safe political money was all betting on cynicism, at least when it came to immigration. The Senate debate about immigration reform collapsed 10 days ago, and conventional wisdom has been arguing ever since that that was the end of that. The issue is too contentious, the nation too divided, the president not powerful enough to turn his vision into reality. So much for fixing the system, the self-styled realists held - this month or even this year.
But these reports of the bill’s demise may be exaggerated. Congress is in recess, due back in Washington the end of the month, and while the safest prediction is stalemate - that the Senate will simply drop immigration and move on to other issues - there are reasons to believe that legislators will pick up where they left off and come together around a solution.”
