“MTV has gone bilingual and the networks will introduce English-language telenovelas this summer, as English-language TV moves in on the Hispanic market.
The U.S. Census and the networks` own marketing studies reflect the dramatic growth in the Hispanic market, and television wants to appeal to that audience. It is estimated that Hispanics today have a buying power of more than $750 billion, a detail that should be of great interest to advertisers.”
