“Lisa Alvarado, Ann Hagman Cardinal and Jane Alberdeston Coralin have been friends since they met in the 1990s at Vermont College. Now the trio, who live in different states, have written a novel via e-mail and phone calls.

In Sister Chicas (New American Library, $12.95, paperback original), the authors, who come from Latina backgrounds, revisit adolescence through three 15-year-old Latina girls.”
