“A Palestinian Rueters news service cameraman named Mazen Dana was shot point-blank and killed in Iraq by US military forces in 2003. Though the official U.S. line is that it was an “accident,” Dana’s friends and fellow journalists say otherwise.

Dana was targeted, they say, because he had discovered the U.S. military dumping bodies covered in plastic into mass graves in the desert. At first Dana thought these were Iraqi bodies. Soon, he apparently discovered the sickening truth. They were undocumented immigrants who had joined the U.S. military as mercenaries after being promised Green Cards. There are said to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 20,000 such mercenaries in Iraq working for the U.S. military.”
