Tagged: protest, student, teacher“Latino students at Lincoln High School felt compelled to stage a protest of their own after learning dozens of Marshalltown middle and high school students walked out of class recently to protest an illegal immigration measure playing out in Congress.
“I think I would have walked out,” said Alberto Rodriguez, a sophomore at Lincoln, 2600 S.W. Ninth St.
But thanks to Peter Marshall, a Spanish teacher at the south-side school, the Lincoln students stayed put.”
