“More than 80,000 Floridians took to the streets Monday, joining demonstrators nationwide to protest a Congressional bill that would make illegal immigration a felony and would offer no path to citizenship for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants already here.

Florida is home to an estimated 850,000 illegal immigrants, the nation’s third largest community after California and Texas, according to the Washington, D.C.-based think tank, the Pew Hispanic Center. “
