“Middle and high school students from Montgomery County, Md., near the nation’s capital, were given the chance Monday to earn credits toward graduation for participating in a rally involving tens of thousands of illegal immigrants.

The demonstrators oppose legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives that would categorize people already living in the U.S. as felony lawbreakers. The Republican bill also calls for 700 miles of fencing to be erected along the U.S.-Mexican border to help prevent more illegal entries.”
