“Several thousand people walked a mile to Lincoln Park today to urge Congress to legalize the majority of illegal immigrants already in the U.S. and to enact a guest worker program.

The crowd, estimated by security guards hired by organizers at 4,000, came in all ages, with many parents pushing babies in strollers.

They were led by Nick Herrera, 67, a widely known Hispanic community leader in Grand Junction.”
