“The humanitarian work of Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira will be honored during the 2006 Billboard Latin Music Awards, airing April 27 on WSCV-Ch. 51 from the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood.

Shakira will receive the Spirit of Hope Award during the ceremony, in which she is expected to perform.
