“The band is considered Chicago’s premier Mexican folk music group and has contributed music to film scores, educational programs and Mexican folkloric ballet.

It has paired with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for the past two years in bringing a program for brass quintet and Mexican folk ensemble to the city’s neighborhoods, and has done a piece for orchestra and folk ensemble commissioned by the Chicago Symphonietta.”
