With a warm welcome from the Big Apple, the biggest event in the world for alternative Latin music will return to New York August 2nd – 5th. Featuring leading artists as well as many of the music industry’s most prominent decision-makers, the seventh annual ’s daytime events will once again be held at Manhattan’s Puck Building in SoHo.

Among the events planned for 2006 are free concerts at Central Park Summerstage, Celebrate Festival at the Prospect Park Bandshell, and Museo del Barrio, as well as numerous showcases and industry panels for registrants. With past conferences averaging more than 1000 music industry attendees and 20,000 concert fans each year, 2006 promises to be an exciting year. This four-day conference providing networking opportunities with the genre’s leading artists, label executives, journalists, marketers, managers, retailers and programmers, is the most extensive to be offered by a music conference to date. was conceived in 2000 by artist manager Tomas Cookman and publicist Josh Norek with the goal to gain wider acceptance for the genre.
